Here we go again...

I wonder what Kolton would be like as a big brother? Considering he's only 5 months it's hard to imagine. But we're going to find out! lol That's right. Kolton's going to be a big brother! Of course this wasn't planned, but we're all for surprises.

I took a home test about 3 weeks ago, I was only 4 days late and I did it as a proof to myself that I wasn't pregnant. So you can imagine how shocked I was when I seen in big BOLD letters "PREGNANT". Adam was out of town, so I gave him the news over the phone. Of course from that very second he's been excited. After going through many emotions, I'm of course excited too. Of course it's going to be crazy with a 1 year old and a newborn, but I secretly like chaos so I'll manage! :)

Yesterday we went for our first ultrasound. I'm so early in the pregnancy she couldn't measure the baby or anything. So as of now, I don't have an exact due date. We're expecting it to be a November baby though. She couldn't pick the baby up on the ultrasound well enough to tell too much or even get a picture. She told me not to worry, she said this early in a pregnancy it's hard to. I'm going for blood work Monday and Wednesday to make sure my pregnancy hormone level is fine. We're not getting TOO TOO excited yet. It's so difficult to tell anything when you're this early in the pregnancy. I go back in two weeks for another ultrasound and between the blood work and that ultrasound we'll know much more.

Anyways, I wanted to let everyone know. I'm excited to have everyone join us through the next couple months!

PS I took a picture of the test like my tradition with Kolton, but then I noticed it was on a blue background. So then I moved it to a pink background, but then I panicked because I didn't want that to jinx my chances on a girl. So I took the test around the house finding different colored backgrounds. Just to be safe.

Lushly

I always like to tell my friends about awesome products. My husband bought me some stuff from Lush recently. I LOVE that stuff. He bought me some facial cleanser it makes my face feel so clean. He also bought me this bubble bar. It smells SO good. I just received 3 bath bombs in the mail. I haven't used them yet, so I'll let you know how that goes later. However, they sent two samples with it. One is a hair conditioner bar. I haven't used it either, but the smell reminds me of patchouli, so I'm not too sure about it. The other sample is this body buttercream. I used it today and omg I fell in love. The scent is somewhat strong, but it's very long lasting and makes your skin SO smooth. I plan on ordering it once I make my next Lush order.

Also their packing is so cute. It reminds me of the old school grocery store I use to work at and the stickers they used on their produce.

Lush is all handmade products and totally eco friendly. Like I said before, the scents of their products can come off strong at first, but they're long lasting and the notes for the product is EXACTLY what it smells like.

So yeah, I just wanted to let you know about my Lush experience. :)

Happy (early) birthday Adam!

I had planned on surprising my husband with a new grill. I wanted to have it at the house all ready and everything, but that didn't work out. So he got to go pick out the one he wanted AND put it together himself. (how nice huh?) It took him SIX! SIX! I said SIX hours to put together, but it was soooo worth it. He made steaks on Saturday and bbq chicken on Sunday! I just wish the warm weather would hurry up and stay so we can grill out all the time!

PS His birthday isn't until April 14th.

A day at the lake

On Sunday we went to this great park that Adam found. While Adam fished Kolton and I walked around the lake. He really liked it! He loves getting out of the house, and so do I!

Heartbreaker.

Heartbreaker is written on his onesie, and doesn't this face just break your heart!

Finally! Something good!

We gave Kolton his first thing of baby food Wednesday. We started him out on Sweet Potatoes. At first he had a not so sure look (the picture in the center is when he FIRST tried them), but after that he loved them. He kept smacking his lips and trying to lick every bit off his lips. He's' probably thinking "something other than that nasty formula!"

He had a blast with it. Even up until the part where he picks the bowl up (as you can see in the picture) and slings it off his high chair. He's so rotten, I swear!

aaand he's back!

We're so excited! We went to the airport Wednesday and picked Adam up! We missed him so much. I'll NEVER forget the look on Kolton's face when he seen his daddy. He was so excited and just smiled so big!

I do NOT see how single mommies do it. Adam helps out so much and I learned REAL quick how much I appreciate him being here. It's been a year since we've been a part. Usually he has to go on deployments so I guess I got a little spoiled him being here with me.

He was a very smart man and came with gifts in hand. He gave Kolton a stuffed horse who's name was "Colt" (Adam didn't even realize it) He got him lots of goodies from Pumpkin Patch, Baby Gap, and The Children's Place. He RACKED up! He also had some awesome goodies for me. He got me some make up from Sephora and some bath stuff from Lush. How awesome was he?

Oh gorsh.

That's right. We had originally planned on going around October for Kolton's first birthday, however some things came up and the sooner would be better. My greatest friend Jenifer is going down with her family and her good friends and she asked us to tag along, and after talking it over with Adam we said yes! We're just waiting to make sure that everything works out so we can go, so keep your fingers crossed!! Jenifer is one of my greatest friends ever. She and her husband were so great to Adam when he first moved to Georgia, and she was so welcoming to me when I moved there! We text about 3,000 text a day, but we haven't seen each other since 2006! So keep your fingers crossed that I get to see her, Josh, and meet their ADORABLE ADORABLE daughter Miss Thing Sassy Pants Mackenzie.

Oh, and of course we're excited to take Kolton to Disney World! This will be all 3 of our's first time! I can not wait to meet Mickey, Minnie, Pooh and the gang, Cinderella! All of them! Yaay!! I SO hope this works out so we can go!! :)

How excited am I?!

While waiting in the check out yesterday at the grocery store my eyes wondered over towards the gossip mags. I noticed this dark haired girl in this ridiculous blue sequined outfit. I started to read the captions and noticed it said "Jilted Melissa sizzles on DWTS" What!!? I immediately snatched the magazine, tossed it in my cart, and texted my friend asking if she knew about this.

For those of you who do not know who Melissa is, she was my favorite girl on the most recent season of The Bachelor, also the same girl who had her heart broken on national tv by being proposed to and then dumped for the other girl Molly (who I've totally disliked from the beginning.) Melissa was called TWO days before the first airing of DWTS because Nancy O'Dell had to drop out because of an injury. I can not tell you how excited I am. Melissa is America's sweetheart, and I'm so glad she's given an opportunity to come back with her head held high. So needless to say, my TiVo is set for DWTS!

Who needs toys?

When you got these fancy arms, hands, and legs!

Silly boy.

Boys DO have cooties..

(other than my son of course)

Kolton has this shirt. He's worn it dozens of times. It has a dinosaur on it and underneath it says "It wasn't me" I've thought nothing of it. Until today we were laying on the bed and I looked at it closely, and noticed something that would only be on something a boy wears...

See if you notice:

The dinosaur is passing gas! How disgusting! You wouldn't find a little girl wearing a shirt with a lady bug passing gas! Sheesh!

Cribs!

I forgot to tell you all, Kolton is officially in his crib. He's been sleeping in it since we got back from West Virginia. The bassinet was my sister's so I just took it in and dropped it off. He's been doing great. I swear, he's growing up too fast.

this is usually the face that greets me at 5 in the morning.

Keep 'em coming!

When I was walking back from checking the mail yesterday I noticed something in my flower bed...

a blooming flower!!

What a sweet, sweet sign this is! The past two days have been beautiful and I hope this weather is here to stay.

PS Does anyone know what type of flower that is?

New PJs are DINO-mite!

I just love clothes shopping for Kolton, but I especially love PJ shopping for him. He looks so cute in them, and to me PJs for a boy are like dresses for a girl. So I caught some Mini-Wear (LOVE LOVE LOVE their stuff) PJs on sale. The ones he wore tonight were so cute they had little dinosaurs on them!

Hurry home Daddy!

Hey Daddy, this is Bubba. I just wanted to tell you to hurry home! Me and Mommy miss you very much. It's rather boring around here while you're gone. Mommy makes me go shopping with her and keeps taking me to these places where she gets a mochafrappa-something or other. (I think she might be addicted) I'm trying not to give all my kisses away to Mommy, so hurry home before she steals them all!

and remember, bring lots of presents...OR ELSE! :)

I need some mommy help!

I think my little man might be starting to teeth. He's been running a fever, drooling, chewing his fingers, and being whiney. I'm saying those are the obvious signs, but he's also had a cold. Today however, I caught him doing this weird thing. At first I thought he was choking, but then I realized he was itching his gums. Has any of your kids ever done this?

Just like a kid..

I swear I should have learned my lesson by now. Kolton is such a rotten little booger. We can have two of the exact same thing and he ALWAYS goes for the cheaper of the two. His favorite thing is this 40 dollar swing we got on ebay, rather than the hundred dollar one that sits UNused downstairs. When he was first born I rushed out to buy him a big fancy tub. Given, he did like it at first, but then he was over it quickly. I think his big noggin was resting on the plastic and it was hurting him. So today I picked him up this spongey thing that lays in the bath tub and he just lays over it. LOVED it! He splashed his legs and arms, jibber jabbered, my little man is back to loving his baths! Thanks to a five dollar piece of styrofoam!

Goodbye fancy tub!

(PS, look how skinny he is! Gosh his looks have changed so much)

Just a little update...

So like I said before, I'm back. I'm going to try my hardest to blog a picture everyday still. I probably wont be as strick on myself as I was before, and maybe even do it like every sunday I'll post all 7 pictures at one time. (because I know how much you all loooove my pictures, lol) Adam's still out of town and I still only have little down time.

So anyways, just to update you on Monster Boy. He had his 4 month check up on the 27th. No shots though, we were a day early. The doctor said he looked great, of course. She put him on his tummy and got to see how well he does. He weighs 16lbs and 2 ounces and he's 26 inches long. He's 90% for height, 75% for weight, and 50% for head circumference. She said I could start him on stage 1 food as soon as he masters cereal (which he has) So I'm just waiting for Adam to get back, and we're going to give him baby food for the first time! :) Our little boy is growing up. Anyway, he's doing great. He has a little cold right now. Also, I think he actually may be starting to teeth. Like I said, our little boy is growing up!

Oh boy.

A couple weeks ago I posted this blog. My husband had a little freak out over the mud on the Santa Fe and the tracks I left in the yard. Well, I wonder what he will think of this:

You see, I went back home while my husband is out of town. Apparently while I was gone we got some snow. When I came back, and went to drive in my drive way it was completely covered. I thought nothing of it, and just pulled right in. Over the snow and all. Well, this morning I went to head out and pick up the dogs from the kennel and get Kolt some medicine (he has a cold, btw), as I go to back up I feel the car be a little hesitant. So I thought it needed a little umpf..so I hit the gas. I shot up some, but started to slide back down -TOWARDS MY HOUSE. Also, my husband's friend parked his car here while he was out of town too and it's a REALLY nice car so I did not want to smash into that either. So I put the car in reverse, backed up a little, and ended up sliding butt end in my yard. So here I am, in the middle of my yard. I had a genuis idea to try and drive the car out that way since it was just snow and hadn't iced over. Seemed logical right? Nope. I ended up getting stuck, and you know what's funny? Sometimes it just doesn't matter how hard you hit the gas.. the thing just doesn't budge. So anyways, you ever said to yourself "This is REALLY not funny." but you just have to laugh so you wont bust to tears? Luckily it was covered by our car insurance and we didn't have to pay for it to be hauled out.

Here's our little ol' car being rescued:

PS, I must admit I'm a little nervous for posting this. Adam randomly checks my blog while he's gone just in case I post any pictures of Kolt. This will be the first time he sees the yard. Ah! I wonder if an "ugh babe!" is all I'll get!?
